Khajjiar
is famous for the natural green ground which resembles to the
greenery that one sees in Switzerland and is also called Switzerland
of India. It is about 30 Km from Dalhousie.
There
is a Himachal Tourism Bungalow which can be booked in advance, One
day is enough for the stay where you can visit the tourist spots in
the evening or morning.
While
coming back from Khajjiar to Dalhousie, you can visit Dain Kund Peak
and Mata Pohlani Devi temple, Trek
is relatively easy and can be completed in 2-3 hours if you are in
hurry and your fitness permits.
On
Dalhousie-Khajjiar Road there is diversion which goes towards Air
Force Station,Civilians are not allowed to go inside the gate and you
will have to stop you car/vehicle there itself. There is slope going
upwards through the gate, it takes you to MATA POHLANI TEMPLE.
